Privacy Policy

500 Touches is used by children, so the short version matters: the camera never records, we run no analytics, we show no ads, and we sell nothing to anyone.

The camera

During a drill, the app looks at the live camera feed to find the ball and the player's feet and count touches. That analysis happens entirely on your device. Video is not recorded, not saved, and not transmitted anywhere. Nothing from the camera reaches us or any third party.

What stays on your device

This is stored on the device and in your own iCloud account, so it follows your Apple ID across your devices. We have no access to it.

What is shared, and only if you use friends or circles

Friends, circles and leaderboards are optional. If you never add a friend, nothing about your family is published anywhere. If you do, the app publishes a small summary for each player to the app's iCloud database so friends' devices can show a leaderboard:

That is the whole list. In particular the app never publishes a player's age group — it is a direct proxy for a child's age — and never publishes individual round history, video, location, contacts, or device identifiers.

Sharing an account with another grown-up

You can share your household with a partner so both devices see the same players and rounds. That uses Apple's own iCloud sharing. The data stays in a private iCloud area that only you and the people you invite can open; it is not part of the public leaderboard data above.

Children

500 Touches is designed to be set up and managed by a parent or guardian.

If you believe a child's information has been shared with us and you would like it removed, email us and we will remove it.

What we do not do

Apple's role

The app stores data in iCloud using Apple's CloudKit. Apple processes that data under Apple's Privacy Policy. If you download the app from the App Store or TestFlight, Apple also receives the usual information about that, which we do not control.

Deleting your data

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or shared, we will update the date at the top of this page.
